Jeet Kune Do is a fighting martial art.The ever-popular Bruce Lee founded Jeet Kune Do and put focus on countering as an opponent is attacking. There are no fixed forms or patterns as there are in some other martial arts. Instead, students are taught to react to different situations and to use what they have on-hand. Movement is minimized, but speed and power is maximized.
Kicking and punching techniques are taught to students, as are grappling techniques. All of these techniques are taught to be used in a flowing way; the motion is not stiff and rigid. Everything taught in Jeet Kune Do is applicable to real combat situations.
