Kickboxing Classes in North Dakota

Kickboxing is not a single martial art form, but includes several different styles. The term kickboxing may refer to American kickboxing or Japanese kickboxing, but may also include other styles like Muay Thai, Sanda and Karate. All of the included styles are forms of stand-up combat that use kicks and punches, although some incorporate elbow and knee strikes. For hand strikes, hooks, jabs and straight punches are popular techniques.

The ever-powerful round-house kick is a common kicking technique along with front kicks and side-kicks. Training for kickboxing isn't usually as organized as other martial arts styles in that there is usually no belt system or uniforms.
